Kim Kardashian Defends Kanye West After “Yeezus” Rapper Tries to Make the Handicapped Stand

Kim Kardashian defends Kanye West on his latest Yeezus outing. The rapper was caught on video stalling a performance while he waited for his healing Yeesus powers to lift two audience wheelchair-bound audience members to out of their seats during a recent performance in Australia.

Kim Kardashian defended Kanye West on Twitter, saying "Kanye never asked anyone in a wheel chair to stand up & the audience videos show that. He asked for everyone to stand up & dance UNLESS they were in a wheel chair. #JustWantedEveryoneToHaveAFunNight #TheMediaTwistsThings."

Since his cringeworthy performance at the Qantas Credit Union Arena was caught on tape, Kanye West has faced public backlash.

At the show, West called for everyone in the audience to stand before he launched into his song "A Good Life," when the rapper noticed that several concertgoers were still sitting.

"I can't do this song, I can't do the rest of the show until everybody stands up," West announced from the stage on Sept. 12. "Is he in a wheel chair? OK well we gotta wait then. This is the longest I've had to wait to do a song, this is unbelievable."

"Now, if he is in a wheelchair, it's fine. Is he in a wheelchair right there?" West said before launching his bodyguards into the audience to be sure the concert-goer was actually wheelchair-bound.

Craig Wallace, president of People With Disability Australia, told the media "To call out people for not standing up, when they are disabled and cannot stand up, in front of thousands of people, is humiliating."

After the stormy show, West took to Instagram to say "What an amazing Australian tour! Its frustrating that something so awesome could be clouded by lies in the media."

At the final show of the "Yeezus" tour in Brisbane, West defended saying "Welcome to today's news, ladies and gentlemen. We've got Americans getting killed on TV. We have kids being killed every weekend in Chicago. We have unarmed people being killed by police officers ... "It makes you just want to reflect on what are the things that are a little bit more sensationalized about this."
