Nick Lachey To Release Fourth Solo Album 'Soundtrack Of My Life' On November 11; Calls Album A 'Passion Project' [PHOTO]

People Magazine reports that Nick Lachey is getting ready to release his new solo album "Soundtrack of My Life," on November 11th.  Life has been busy for the 40-year-old: he's expecting his second child with wife Vanessa Minnilo Lachey, and is busy hosting VH1's "Big Morning Buzz Live." However, Lachey is very excited for the public to hear his music.

In an exclusive interview with People, Lachey stated, "I knew I wanted to do a cover album but wanted to go for a different concept... Soundtracks just felt like a cool angle on doing a cover record. The marriage of music and film is one that has been talked about so much over the years, and the way music affects you when you're watching a film is so impactful," further explaining his reasons for using soundtracks as the main theme for his album.

Lachey calls the album a "passion project," and says it features songs that have been memorable to him throughout his life. According to Revamp, Lachey debuted his album this past Monday night at The Inn at Willow Grove, in Orange, Virginia. He sang a nine-song set including "Streets of Philadelphia," "What a Wonderful World," "Here With Me," "City of Angels," and "What's Left of Me."

"Falling Slowly" from the movie soundtrack of "Once" is particularly special to Lachey and his wife, Vanessa. He told People, "'Falling Slowly' is a very special song for Vanessa and me. It sort of became our theme song to the point where we had it performed at our wedding shower," conveying that the song is one of his favorites on his new album.

With so many projects to work on at once, Lachey is very busy but nonetheless determined to make everything work. "I wish I could be in multiple places at once... I'm just trying to keep the balance. When I'm invested in one project, I give it all I've got and then move on to the next. And in between, I try to be the best husband and father I can be," Lachey stated.

Keep your eyes and ears open for the arrival of the new album!
