Christopher Nolan’s ‘Interstellar’ Film Updates: New Alternative Poster And Mobile Application That Lets You ‘Build Your Own World’ Like ‘Inception’

Christopher Nolan often keeps details about his upcoming projects as secret as he can, but today fans of the "Dark Knight Trilogy" director can explore and create their own universe in a new game released to promote upcoming film, "Interstellar." In addition to this, there's also a new artistic poster that features the spaceship that will be navigated by Academy Award winning actor, Matthew McConaughey.

Matthew McConaughey spoke to Variety a few months ago about "Interstellar": "Here's what I can tell you. It's the most ambitious thing he's ever done. And he's done some ambitious stuff." That definitely means something when you consider the scope and scale of Nolan's previous projects such as "Inception" and "The Dark Knight Trilogy." While audiences have a few more weeks to wait before they can experience "Interstellar," Paramount has released a new game for fans to get a glimpse of what is to come.

The "Interstellar" game is currently available both for desktop and as a mobile application. According to Wired, "The ‘Interstellar' game (no other name necessary) is a solar system model builder, yes, but it's also a flight simulator that lets you explore your galaxy and those made by others. You can't actually shoot Matthew McConaughey into space, but the game does allow you to explore the galaxy much like his character does in the movie thanks to input from the film's scientific advisor, theoretical physicist Kip Thorne."

Cinemablend adds that since the game is based on actual science, things like gravity and fuel become a real problem to get a handle on. Fans can check out the game for themselves here.

In addition to the game that was released, there's also a new poster that features an artistic view of the spaceship that will be traveling wormholes to save mankind. The ship will have both Anne Hathaway and Matthew McConaughey on it according to the newest trailer. "Interstellar" will finally hit theaters on November 7th.
