Nokia Lumia 830 Release Date: 5" WP-Powered Smartphone With Midrange Price Tag, Tipped To Come To AT&T, Verizon Just In Time For The Holidays

During the IFA event a couple of weeks ago, Nokia announced one of its midranger phones. Since then, Windows Phone fans have already been asking about the Nokia Lumia 830 release date.

Thankfully, interested buyers in the US may not wait much longer.

Accoding to a report by TK Tech News, the upcoming Windows Phone smartphone should hit a number of major carriers before the holiday season.

In the report, the new Nokia handset would make its way to AT&T, Verizon and T-Mobile, three of the largest mobile carriers in the US based on a paid insider who is familiar with the mobile industry in the US.

Right now, only AT&T has announced the availability of the Lumia 830, though we can still expect the other two, and possibly even more carriers to announce the Nokia smartphone as their upcoming handsets.

In case you are thinking whether this device is worth it, one alleged reason why you need to get it is that it could be the last smartphone to be developed by Nokia. Previous reports claim that Microsoft is slowly phasing out the Nokia branding in favor of Microsoft Mobile.

In addition, the Lumia 830 is a capable device that packs a 5-inch display with HD (1280 x 720) resolution, 1GB of RAM, a Snapdragon 400 chipset, and a 16GB built-in storage. Thankfully there's a microSD card slot that allows storage expansion.

Behind the Nokia smartphone is a 10MP PureView camera that is a first of its kind in the Lumia lineup. Also on board is a new version of Windows Phone 8.1 that is specially made for the Nokia Lumias.

In the report, the new Nokia phone will be priced around $434 in the US.
