iPhone 6 Specs: Both 4.7" And 5.5" iPhone Only Pack 1GB RAM? Tear Down By iFixit Shows

The iPhone 6 specs are expected to be top notch, considering the phone's premium price tag.

Unfortunately for Apple fans, it looks like you should get used to its 1GB of RAM.

According to a report by Phone Arena, the guys at iFixit once again tried to disassemble the new iPhones and scored their 'repairability'.

While the team's primary goal was to identify whether the new iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus can easily be fixed, they discovered an important feature which could leave a lot of Apple fans disappointed.

In the report, both the 4.7-inch and the 5.5-inch models of the iPhone 6 only boast 1GB of RAM. Both smartphones run on A8 chipset with 64-bit compatibility, and the latest iOS 8 update, yet both devices only feature 1GB of RAM each.

Considering that both phones also pack an 8MP primary camera (the same camera resolution used by previous iPhones for the last two years), it means that there are less improvements in these new versions than changes.

A lot of people can easily the changes in size, design and build, but as far as the specifications and features are concerned. They may be surprised that the new iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus specs are almost the same as last year's model.

Meanwhile, the battery for the iPhone 6 Plus is 2,915mAh based on the test of iFixit.

Nevertheless, the tech industry expects the market to be taken by storm with the new iPhones' launch today. Some of the countries which would get it today include Australia, Japan, Germany, the UK and the US.
