Angelina Jolie Takes On Another Directorial Job, She Will Direct The Biopic ‘Africa’

Award-winning actress Angelina Jolie is again buckling down to another directorial job, Ace Showbiz reported.

Angelina who is just about to wrap up her directorial projects 'Unbroken' and 'By the Sea,' has officially committed to taking on 'Africa.' Jolie will not only direct the biopic but will also produce the film about Richard Leakey, also a paleoanthropologist and his story about his effort to fight poachers to protect Kenya's elephants and wildlife. Leakey is also a politician.

Ace Showbiz said that Jolie would be working with Eric Roth, an award-winning writer whose works include movies 'Extremely Loud' and 'Incredibly Close.' Roth is also behind television shows, 'Luck' and 'House of Cards.'

Inside Movies quoted Jolie's statement on her latest project, "I've felt a deep connection to Africa and its culture for much of my life," Jolie said in a statement, "and was taken with Eric's beautiful script about a man drawn into the violent conflict with elephant poachers who emerged with a deeper understanding of man's footprint and a profound sense of responsibility for the world around him."

'By the Sea,' meanwhile is her second team up with her husband Brad Pitt. Jolie also starred, produced and directed the film, which will hit the cinemas soon and with 'Unbroken,' a war drama on its way to the screens.

Recently, Jolie was in the limelight again after a research study conducted in England showed that her breast cancer genetic testing started several British women to getting tested too.

The research entitled, "The Angelina Jolie Effect: how high celebrity profile can have major impact on provision of cancer related services," conducted by the Genesis Genetics Service in Manchester, England showed that the news story about the actress' effort to reduce her risk to breast cancer, led to a long-lived interest in a health-related service.

Mother of six, Jolie announced that she tested positive of BRCA1, she had to undergo double mastectomy last year after she tested positive in an effort to reduce risk of breast cancer.
