‘Fashion Police’ To Go Live On: E! TV Announces That It Will Be Back In 2015

Joan Rivers might have bid us goodbye but her legacy will live on with 'Fashion Police.'

Mashable reported that E! TV Channel has said that 'Fashion Police' will be back on air next year, the announcement though did not include who will replace Rivers.

The network in a statement stated, "we are deeply saddened by the loss of Joan Rivers and, for the last two weeks, have turned our attention to honoring her memory on all of our platforms."

It added, "we have also thought long and hard about what Joan would have wanted as it pertains to the future of 'Fashion Police.' We decided, with Melissa Rivers' blessing, that Joan would have wanted the franchise to continue."

On Friday, the network also paid tribute to Rivers and daughter Melissa hosting it.

USA Today published a recap of the tribute and quoted Melissa as saying in the introduction of the special.

"Tonight we want to say goodbye - the only way my mom would want us to: by remembering the incredible jokes, the unbelievable guests and all the moments on set and behind-the scenes that made Fashion Police   must-see television around the globe," Melissa said.

She then added, "so for the next 90 minutes we're going to do what my mom loved to do most: Laugh."

The special showed footage of Rivers and the show through the years and guests such as Naomi Campbell, Brandy, and others, who provided laughter during the Fashion Police shows through the years. The special and ran for 90 minutes.

Rivers died this month during an outpatient procedure in New York. The real cause of death is still being determined and more tests will be conducted, with the doctor who performed the surgery fired and left the clinic following the incident, media reports say.
