BEAST Transforms Into Cartoon Characters For "The BEAST" Opening on August 22

Idol group BEAST members will feature as the main characters of the cartoon, "The Beast," which will publish on the 22nd of August.

"The BEAST" is about the friendship of Hallyu idols of BEAST portrayed by cartoonist Jena (Kim Hye Jin). Three years in the works, "The Beast" is about six different heroes who each have different powers. This fantasy story is about none other than the six members of the group.

Jena is a popular cartoonist who has put together cartoons like "19 and 21" and "Girl the Wilds."

The story for this cartoon has gotten even better through the contribution of "Monster 2" and "Runway" scenario writer Kim Hak Boon. 

Planning for "The Beast" has involved associations with OSMU (One Source Multi Use). It will trek beyond the Korean market to other countries,' as well. Planis Entertainment in charge of producing the comic series plans to make the series as a starting point to enter other fields such as video game and animated films.

Currently "The BEAST" is planned to be a six book series. The first of the series will be released on August 22, where after the following five will also be released.
