HTC One M8 Release Date: Flagship Version With Upgraded Duo Camera And 13MP Resolution Makes The Rounds Online

Just last week, we first heard rumors that a new HTC One M8 release date will be set in the coming weeks, and it will feature a new HTC smartphone that will exceed the One M8 which just launched in March.

It appears the smartphone is already nearing completion and should be made official any day from now.

According to a report by GSM Arena, an alleged press image of the upcoming HTC One M8 Eye made the rounds in Chinese microblogging platform Weibo where we get a first look at the device.

In the report, the device will pack similar specs, dimensions and features as the original One M8, but it will have one major improvement - it now boasts a 13MP Duo Camera.

Same as the HTC Butterfly 2 released in Japan a couple of months ago, the One M8 Eye will get the same depth sensor technology, but will fuse it with the power of a higher resolution sensor.

Other rumored specs include a 5-inch display with Full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution, 2GB of RAM, a Snapdragon 801 chipset, and 16GB of built-in memory with an option for expansion.

HTC may not be recovering from its financial woes, but it isn't stopping the manufacturer from producing the highest quality devices in the mobile market.

The One M8 has been regarded by some as an almost perfect Android smartphone, considering its total package of design, build, durability and functions. However, the only thing that pulls it down is the underperforming 4MP UltraPixel shooter at the back.

Now that the Taiwanese manufacturer has finally shelved UltraPixels and returned to the 'regular' sensors, the new One M8 Eye could be one of the favorites for the top Android handset this year.
