Diem Brown Admits To Being 'Overwhelmed' By Cancer; Friends Continue To Show Support As MTV Reality Star Fights For Life
Diem Brown's cancer battle continues even as the MTV reality star faced a major setback recently.
Just last week, the chemotherapy scheduled to help in Diem Brown's cancer treatment was postponed and administered in half when doctors found out that the star had a tumor in her kidney.
While Brown had been very brave and optimistic about her struggle, she admitted to E!News that the latest challenge she faced had her feeling "overwhelmed."
The "Road Rules/Road Challenge" star said she's been "really looking forward to having one painless, fun day."
After being diagnosed with cancer for the third time, Brown appears to be in need of a break. "That would help restart everything since I'm basically confined to my apartment, I'm in nesting mode."
But even if Brown is not in her usual high spirits, her friends continue to give her support and try to uplift her.
Brown's long-time friend and former boyfriend Chris "CT" Tamburello visited her in the hospital. He shared a photo of himself on Brown's bedside while their hands are intertwined on his Instagram account.
"CT" did not only show his support to Brown through his presence, he also asked for others to extend their help. In the photo he posted, he said: "Sometimes just being there for someone can be the difference between a good and bad day. @diembrown could definitely use a few... Alicia Quarles, Brown's best friend and an E! correspondent, shared how friends have extended their support to the reality star. "Diem's friends have been amazing which is a testament to the kind of wonderful person she is. We've become an army of caregivers led by her sister Megan," she said. "We are all trying to be as good a friend to her as she's been to us."
Diem Brown's cancer battle began six years ago. She was able to conquer ovarian cancer but it relapsed in 2012. She went into remission but was recently diagnosed with colon cancer.
