Adam Sandler Netflix Movies Are Coming; Comedian Announces Deal By Tweeting 'Let The Streaming Begin'

Adam Sandler Netflix movies are coming! The comedian and the online streaming service company has inked an exclusive partnership for four new flicks.

According to a press release issued on October 2, Adam Sandler and Netflix will collaborate on four films which the actor will produce and star.

While Sandler's last few movies proved to be flops in the box office, the online streaming service believes that the comedian has not lost his touch.

"People love Adam's films on Netflix and often watch them again and again," said the company's chief content officer Ted Sarandos in a statement. "His appeal spans across viewers of all ages - everybody has a favorite movie, everyone has a favorite line - not just in the US but all over the world."

The actor jokingly announced the news on his Twitter and Instagram accounts, saying: "I tried to sign up for Netflix but this happened instead."

"When these fine people came to me with an offer to make four movies for them, I immediately said yes for one reason and one reason only... Netflix rhymes with Wet Chicks. Let the streaming begin!!!!!" the singing comic continued.

The news of the partnership came after the online streaming service announced that they have collaborated with Harvey Weinstein. The deal reportedly resulted to "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon: The Green Legend"'s premiere on Netflix, simultaneously as it debuts on IMAX theaters.

While Variety reported that the Adam Sandler Netflix movies will be out by next year, no other details have been divulged.

Apart from the slated project with the online streaming service, Sandler has an action-comedy movie under Sony Pictures called "Pixels," is slated to be shown on July 2015. The "SNL" alum also previously starred two Jason Reitman films - "Men, Women & Children" and "The Cobbler" - which debuted at the 2014 Toronto Film Festival.
