Bollywood Remake Bang Bang! Will Make a Big Noise in IMAX Theatres In India and Select Global Markets Today

Bang Bang! is primed to explode in theaters. IMAX and Fox Star Studios will release a digitally re-mastered version of the Bollywood action thriller Bang Bang! in the immersive IMAX format in IMAX theatres across India and select global locations starting today, Oct. 2. Bang Bang! is the widest release ever for a Bollywood film.

Bang Bang! is the second Indian local-language film to hit IMAX theaters after last year's critical and box office hit DHOOM:3. Bang Bang! is a remake of the Fox film Knight and Day, starring Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz, which grossed $3.3 million at the Indian box office in 2010. It was directed by Siddharth Raj Anand and stars Hrithik Roshan and Katrina Kaif

FIP India will put Bang Bang! on more than 4,000 screens in India. The Bollywood classic will also hit 800 screens in 46 countries outside of India. Bang Bang! will also hit play in more than 250 screens in the U.S.

Bang Bang! Bang Bang! will be released in three different languages: Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.

Bang Bang! was Raj Anand's first action thriller. It co-stars Danny Denzongpa and Jaaved Jaffrey, also has the most-watched teaser trailer for a Bollywood film. It pulled in over 2.3 million views within 24 hours of its debut on YouTube.
