Earth, Wind & Fire Release Their First-Ever Holiday Album; Earth, Wind & Fire’s `Holiday’ Mixes Standards, and Future Classics

Earth, Wind & Fire, the legendary soul group, will release their first-ever holiday album called, appropriately enough, "Holiday," on Tuesday, October 21 on Legacy Records, a division of SONY Music Entertainment.

In releasing the record, Philip Bailey, Lead vocalist and Earth, Wind & Fire co-founder, said, "This album is the band's first and only holiday music project. We are very proud to offer it as a labor of love to all of our fans and soon to be. Enjoy and happy holidays from our families to all of yours."

"The Holiday album was a joy to record, it is a celebration of tradition, love and spirituality, some of the elements of Earth, Wind & Fire. From our families to yours, we wish you a happy holiday," said Verdine White, Earth, Wind and Fire's co-founder.

The first-ever holiday album from the legendary Earth, Wind & Fire on is already available for pre-order at Amazon.

Earth, Wind & Fire's "Holiday" is "a spirited celebration of the holiday season." EWF brings brand new recordings of  seasonal standards like "Winter Wonderland," "The Little Drummer Boy," "Sleigh Ride," and"Jingle Bell Rock", beloved carols like "Joy to the World," "Oh Come All Ye Faithful," "What Child Is This?," "Away in a Manger,"and "The First Noel", a traditional Japanese winter song called "Snow," and a modern day Christmas song called "Every Day Is Like Christmas."

The record also includes a future Earth, Wind & Fire classics: "Happy Seasons" (inspired by "Happy Feelin'), and "December" (inspired by "September") featuring original vocals from Maurice White.

Earth, Wind & Fire's Holiday was produced by Philip Bailey and the band's Musical Director Myron McKinley.

"Holiday" is Earth, Wind & Fire's 21st studio album. It is the band's second record for Legacy Recordings.  The band's first album for the label, "Now, Then & Forever, debuted at number 11 on the Billboard 200 when it came out in September 2013. It was EWF's highest-charting album since Raise! hit number 5 in 1981.
