American Horror Story: Freak Show Releases Opening Credits for Season 4; AHS: Freak Show Wants You to Get Your Clown On [VIDEO]

'American Horror Story': Welcome to the Freak Show. American Horror Story, the creepiest show on television, returns to FX in one week. Opening credits for American Horror Story: Freak Show season 4 don't clown around.

FX released the opening credits for "American Horror Story" season 4 on YouTube and it's a mix of clowns and toys and carney fun. Ryan Murphy tweeted the American Horror Story: Freak Show opening credit sneak peak on Wednesday, Oct. 1.

We've already seen the first footage from the upcoming fourth season. In another teaser we saw Paulson, who plays conjoined twins Dot and Better Tattler, going to the tent of Jessica Lange's Elsa Mars. Paulson says "It was in the fall when I realized the world I had known was forever doomed. I knew I was about to enter the gates of hell, but, like the inescapable pull of gravity, there was nothing I could do about it."

The bearded lady Ethel Darling, played by Kathy Bates says "What you're about to see will astound your senses and harrow your very souls."

American Horror Story: Freak Show is set in Jupiter, Florida in 1952. A troupe of traveling curiosities hits town at the same time as a dark entity. And it threatens both the freaks and the regular residents.

In American Horror Story Freak Show Angela Bassett is the three-breasted woman. Evan Peters plays the lobster-handed son of strong man Michael Chiklis and bearded lady Kathy Bates; Angela Bassett as a three-breasted woman; Emma Roberts as a con artist and "fortune teller." Jessica Lange is Mistress of Ceremonies Elsa Mars. John Carroll Lynch is Twisty the Clown. Naomi Grossman play as Pepper, who was introduced in American Horror Story: Asylum. New to the cast are American Beauty actor Wes Bentley, R&B legend Patti LaBelle.

"American Horror Story: Freak Show" debuts with a 90-minute premiere Oct. 8 on FX.
