Steven Colbert Bill OReilly: 'The O'Reilly Factor' Host Fires Back Against Colbert's Comedic Riff About Fox Commentor's Proposed 25,000 Member Anti-Jihadist Army [VIDEO]

Steven Colbert Bill OReilly news surfaced that the two hosts have exchanged verbal blows concerning ISIS. Bill O'Reilly had a discussion on "How to Deal With Dumb People" in one segment of "The O'Reilly Factor". Obviously, he was responding to comedian Steven Colbert's sarcastic comments on his suggestion to send a private military force consisting of 25,000 soldiers to fight terrorism around the world.

The Steven Colbert Bill OReilly clash started after the Comedy Central host presented his segment "Airstrikes on Terror: Syria's Business: Shove It Up Their ISIL!" During the show at the end of September 2014, Colbert said, "You know these mercenaries will be good guys because only the best people kill whoever you want for cash. It's quality, folks, is what I'm saying - unlike those suckers who do it for love of country."

O'Reilly said on September 29 during his show, "Well, the left wing's having none of that. People like Stephen Colbert, mocking the plan. But here's a tip: Mr. Colbert and others of his ilk have no bleeping clue how to fight the jihad. They don't know anything. And when somebody gets beheaded, their reaction is, 'Oh, that's bad.'"

O'Reilly added, "But by being completely vacant, it doesn't stop these people from mocking ideas that might have some value, might solve some complex problems. Because in the world of the ideologue, where Colbert lives, solutions don't really matter. It's how you feel about things." He continued, "So, in your life, when you confront a person who criticizes you but has nothing constructive to say, run fast."

In a report by Deadline.com, Colbert was quick to respond to the Steven Colbert Bill OReilly statements on his October 1 show. He said, "During this last commercial break I found out that I have upset someone very dear to me - Bill O'Reilly,"

"It hurts me to know I hurt the man I admire most, just as Bill would be hurt if he hurt the man he admires most. Himself. Last Thursday I praised Bill's plan to win the war on terror with an international army of 25,000 paid mercenaries...But somehow, folks, Bill O'Reilly took Bill O'ffense," Colbert continued.

"I wasn't mocking your plan - I'm the only one who likes it!" Colbert concluded.
