Netflix To Show Four Exclusive Adam Sandler Movies! Will It Be A Hit In The Internet Movie Website?

Netflix, possibly the largest provider of on-demand internet streaming media basically only streamed movies and television shows created by other production studios but with House of Card debut in 2013, Netflix became famous with its original programming. Since then, Netflix released popular series 'Orange is the New Black' and 'Arrested Development Season 4.' Marvel's Daredevil is one of the other series Netflix has in production.

Netflix recently signed a deal with the Weinstein Company to distribute Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon 2 on-demand simultaneously with its release in IMAX theaters. Now rather than delving more into distribution, Netflix will now explore more into feature film production instead of distribution along with comedy writer/actor Adam Sandler.

Adam Sandler's production company, Happy Madison Productions and Netflix together will produce four feature films that will be completely stream via the on-demand service, however, Sandler's other studio film commitments will not be included. Ted Sarandos, Netflix's Chief Content Officer confirmed that Sandler's prior work has been famous with the Netflix viewers.

Ted Sarandos said, "People love Adam's films on Netflix and often watch them again and again. His appeal spans across viewers of all ages - everybody has a favorite movie, everyone has a favorite line - not just in the US but all over the world."

Many of Sandler's 90s films like The Wedding Singer, Billy Madison, and Big Daddy are considered to be comedic classics, however, his recent films like this year's Blended or last year's Grown Ups 2 haven't been a hit. Sandler still has an ardent fan base that turn up for each of his new releases.

We will need to wait and watch if Happy Madison Productions and Netflix's four upcoming films will continue in line with Sandler's recent releases. Unquestionably, there is a group of fans who would like to see these movies tapping into the comedy from Sandler's almost 20-year-old hits. They may be set of Sandler's prevailing fans. There is also a probability that Sandler might go in an entirely different direction.

Plus, predicting which direction these films will go considering Sandler's partnership with Netflix is not easy. Since these movies will be exclusively streamed online, the movies are expected to be less family-friendly. Perhaps, Netflix will mentor the films to fall more in line with the kind of content they have produced so far. Until more information is released on these films as well partnership, we will not be sure.
