What exactly is "Utopia" about?

The concept is simple yet complex, according to the official show summary: "Five acres of paradise. Fifteen pioneers. 126 remote cameras. The largest social experiment ever televised. This is UTOPIA...They've got limited supplies, wildly diverse backgrounds and zero bathrooms...Each pioneer brings a unique skill set and strongly held ideal to UTOPIA. A liberal lawyer, a Pentecostal preacher, a Casanova contractor, a Southern chef, an ex-con seeking redemption and a soon-to-be-mom are among those seeking to build this new society. With no existing power structures and limited amenities, these Utopians will be challenged with rewriting the rules.
