Upcoming HTC Phones 2014: Taiwanese Phone Maker Allegedly Prepares New One M8 (Eye) Flagship, And Selfie-Ready Desire Eye With 13MP Front Shooter

As we look forward to upcoming HTC phones for 2014, we see how the Taiwanese manufacturer aims to correct its mistakes now that there is a new version of the One M8 flagship. 

In recent reports, the new edition will be dubbed the One M8 Eye, which packs a 13MP primary camera, but gets the same Duo Camera feature. The other sensor at the back is the famous depth sensor that allows users to get two vantage points of the same image even after the shot has been taken. 

However, while the One M8 Eye is interesting, we can't help but be amazed at the rumored HTC Desire Eye smartphone. 

In a report by GSM Arena, the device will boast a whopping 13MP camera, which is placed in front. A selfie-smartphone with a 13MP front shooter may be too much, but HTC is not taking chances and wants to be the ultimate choice for selfie enthusiasts all over the world. 

In a new report by Phone Arena, the new device has been seen in a shipping document for retailer Zauba in India. Aside from featuring the 13MP cameras on both sides, the Desire Eye is also rumored to get a 5.2-inch display, probably a 720p resolution. 

Interestingly, the smartphone will only cost 21,490 INR which is equivalent to just around $350.

Given the camera specs of the device, we can expect just a 1GB or 1.5GB RAM, and Snadpragon 400 or 600. However, we can just wait for HTC's Double Exposure event to see how this phone really suits up.
