Los Angeles Lakers Roster: Bryant And Nash Looking Good In First Pre-Season Match, Davis Becoming LA's Most Priced Acquisition?

The new Los Angeles Lakers roster was put to the test last night when they faced the Denver Nuggets, and suprisingly coach Byron Scott's team held its own pretty well against a late uprising that could have cost them the game.

Kobe Bryant was very effective for the Lakers with 13 markers while playing limited minutes in order to make his comeback even more successful as the weeks go by. Meanwhile, Nash also played well, putting in 11 points and 5 dimes in less minutes.

While the veterans gave the momentum for Los Angeles, the new acquisitions were the ones who fought tooth and nail to secure the lead, and later on the victory.

Jordan Clarkson was impressive last night with 14 points to lead all scorers for the Lakers, while he managed 5 boards throughout the game.

Julius Randle also contributed to the victory with 10 points and 8 rebounds.

However, it was Ed Davis whom the Lakers acquired from Memphis which made the most impact on both ends of the floor. The high-flying forward finished the game with 12 points, but most importantly protected the rim for Los Angeles with 4 blocks.

Overall, the Lakers' performance was so-so in last night's game, though we can't wait to see how coach Scott would tweak his gameplan to build a more effective and less turnover-prone attack for next game.
