iPad Air Price: Last Year's Apple Lightweight Slate Now Getting Promos From Target, Prepares For The iPad Air 2 This Month

Based on previous reports, the new generation iPad Air 2 is bound for the market late this month. As a result, the iPad Air price would surely drop in order to lure in buyers to get a discounted Apple tablet.

However, it looks like retailer Target has other things in mind.

According to a report by Phone Arena, those who will buy last year's model of the iPad Air would get a $100 gift card from Target which means they can purchase any product from the retailer and get $100 off.

That's a pretty enticing deal for Target, especially that consumers love promos and discounts.

However, if you are particular with the type of device you want to buy, you may want to hold out your purchase.

Apple will be launching its new slates next week which means you don't have to wait until November to get your hands on the latest iPad Air 2 and the iPad mini 3.

In reports, the iPad Air 2 should be even thinner due to some components being taken away or repositioned. Some rumored specs include an A8X chipset, Retina display, 2GB of RAM which is capable of running a split screen of simultaneously running apps, and the new iOS 8 update.

But just in case you already love last year's model and don't mind getting a year-old device, the Target deal is certainly a promo you should not miss.
