HTC Smartwatch Will Be Unveiled As Late As Next Year, Are You Willing To Wait For Company's Stylish Device?

The wearable market continues to be one of the most promising niches in the mobile industry, but in spite the releases from Motorola, LG, Samsung, Sony and even the announced smartwatch from Apple, it seems no one has actually dominated the market.

This is probably the reason why the Taiwanese manufacturer has decided not to develop the HTC smartwatch right away.

However, it looks like the phone maker is already preparing the wearable device, which may debut next year.

According to a report by GSM Arena, HTC America head Jason Mackenzie mentioned that while the company had plans to release a wearable device this year, it did not pan out as planned, and so the soonest we would see an HTC smartwatch would be early next year.

In addition, Drew Bamford of HTC's Creative Labs said that no manufacturer has yet hit the mark when it comes to wearable devices, which means the Taiwanese manufacturer cannot be considered as lagging behind in terms of competition.

From what we can read above, HTC is pretty confident that they would be able to come up with what the market really needs in the wearable department niche.

Right now, the only real threats for the Taiwan-based manufacturer include Motorola and its Moto 360, the LG G Watch R which has been announced last month, and the Apple Watch which would also be released to the market by nex year.

Other brands including Sony's Smartwatch series and Samsung's Gear family are also capable devices, but they lack the design features which consumers want to have in their wearables.
