AC/DC Releases New Single Play Ball; Reveals New Album Rock Or Burst Tracklist

Hard rock band AC/DC's new single "Play Ball" has been released and fans can bang their heads while listening to it for free online, according to a report from Rolling Stone magazine.

While a portion of it was previously featured in promotions for Turner Sports' Major League Baseball campaign, the full version of AC/DC's new single from their new album "Rock or Burst" was posted online on October 7.

Apart from the song and the list, the Australian rock band also released a "three-dimesional lenticular cover" artwork for their latest record. The artwork was posted on the band's official website.

The band's latest album will be their first studio effort without guitarist Malcom Young, who was previously reported to have been suffering from a "debilitating illness," which was later revealed as dementia.

Malcolm's brother Angus was tapped to do guitar duties for the band while the original member is resting. Their nephew Stevie Young also filled-in for Malcolm for the album.

In an interview with Classic Rock in July, the band's frontman Brian Johnson spoke about their latest studio effort and Malcolm's condition.

"We miss Malcolm obviously. He's a fighter. He's in hospital but he's a fighter," Johnson said. "We've got our fingers crossed that he'll get strong again."

He added, "Stevie ... was magnificent, but when you're recording with this thing hanging over you and your work mate isn't well, it's difficult. But I'm sure [Malcolm] was rooting for us."

He also sharing that he originally wanted to call their new album "Man Down." "But it's a bit negative and it was probably just straight from the heart. I like that," he explained.

The band will reportedly also go on a full scale tour next year and will be joined by Stevie, who will fill in once more for his uncle.
