The Real Housewives of New Jersey News: Teresa Giudice Faces 15 Month Imprisonment For Conspiracy And Bankruptcy Charges! Husband Joe Giudice Also Sentenced On Same Charges

American Actor Teresa Giudice known for her role in The Real Housewives of New Jersey and her husband, reality star, Joe Giudice were sentenced to imprisonment by the Newark federal court on 2nd October earlier this week. The couple was found guilty of mail, wire and bankruptcy fraud. The staggered sentences are set to start of 5th January next year with Teresa Giudice going to prison first for fifteen months. Once she completes her sentence, Joe Giudice will be serving his sentence of forty one months to complete jail time for these charges.

The couple had pleaded guilty in March, earlier this year. In fact, Teresa and Joe confessed to hiding their assets from the creditors to feign bankruptcy and also went to the extent of submitting phony loan applications to accumulate more than five million. Additionally, the court also found Joe guilty of not paying his taxes amounting to two hundred thousand dollars approximately. Joe is also likely to face deportation on the completion of his jail term.

In the couple's latest statement after the issuing of the sentence, the actress appeared flustered as they expressed shock over the decision and concern for their daughters. Though the couple agreed to honour the decision of the court, Teresa's husband Joe also repeatedly said that the fraud was entirely his responsibility and his wife did not deserve the sentence. Teresa added that she used to blindly sign whatever Joe asked her to and was not at all aware of the fraud that was being done. She also said that her deepest regret in this situation is being separated from her family and particularly her beloved daughters.

As Teresa Guidice goes to prison, Joe will be seen taking responsibilities as a single parent to ensure that the lives of their daughters are not disturbed in any manner. Joe has also said that he would go to meet Teresa on a regular basis ensuring that she is connected with their lives in spite of being separated.
