TMNT Premiere: Megan Fox Fails To Attend 'Ninja Turtles' Beijing Opening Due To Skin Allergies; Chinese Media Insists Air Pollution Is The Culprit

TMNT Premiere. The Ninja Turtles worldwide promotion continues as it sets its recent premiere in Beijing on Monday. However, fans are a bit disappointed when they noticed that the stunning Megan Fox said to have missed the event due to skin allergies.

According to the Hollywood reporter, the actress is already in China on Saturday and has attended the press conference on Sunday at the Shangri-La hotel in Beijing with TMNT co-star William Fichtner and filmmakers Brad Fuller and Andrew Form. Paramount vice chairman Rob Moore is also present during the event.

Instead of 28-year old actress, the Chinese actress Fan Bingbing is there to meet and greet fans.

"She had an allergic reaction but not because of the pollution," reps from the actress' camp said.

However, journalists in China are quick to comment on Transformers' actress state saying that they strongly believe it is pollution causing her allergies.

"In just one day, the goddess was brought down by the pollution," a commentator from Sohu said.

"Poor her. We Chinese have been living in pollution long enough to not be affected by it," said a post online.

It was reported that on Fox's first day, the city is heavily polluted and is said to be "beyond index" as it reaches more than the 500 scale of the CN Air Quality Index app, a common pollution index app used by Chinese. Further, it is said to be 20x higher than the usual particles concentration in the atmosphere as determined by the World Health Organization.

Meanwhile, in an earlier interview with Megan Fox by E! News Online, the actress openly shared her enthusiasm in participating the movie.

"These movies feel like home to me.  "It just feels right. My older sister exposed me to this when I was about five, and I was obsessed with it," she said.
