2PM Tops The Recochoku's Chaku-Uta Charts With "Masquerade"

2PM recently released their "Chaku-Uta" for their Japanese album "Masquerade" and it has placed first on the Recochoku's Daily "Chaku-Uta" chart. Now, you may be wonder what exactly a "chaku-uta" is.

It's a short version 30~40 second long clip of songs that can be used as ringtones; usually encoded in MP3 and similar formats.

The scheduled release for "Masquerade" was August 29th, but it was postponed due to member Nichkhun's DUI incident. The new date for the release is November 14th.
