SHINee's Jonghyun Encourages CD Sales "It's A Pity How The Album Market Is Dying"

Idol group SHINee's member Jonghyun made a comment about the album market.

On January 12, Jonghyun posted on his Twitter, "I'm sad to see how the album market is dying."

He continued, "I want to thank everyone who writes reviews of albums. If I may make a small request to those who listen to my music, I am very sad to see how the album market is dying as one who works in the music industry."

He said, "As I too am getting used to the changing culture, I slowly started to forget about listening to music through CDs. I told myself as I was preparing my solo album. 'As a music maker, I shouldn't stay quiet about telling the listeners of the difference between listening to music online and listening to music through CDs'."

He said, "On that note, I made a cookie track that could only be heard through the CD. The world is changing and I admit that so unless the music maker does not separate the two, the album market will eventually disappear so this song that I love so much and consider to be the period to my album will not be released online."

He said, "If you like the songs in my album, please join me in the period of my album as well. CDs may really disappear through time. If you feel sad about that, please join me. Please recognize the efforts I am making for the album market. Once again, I would like to thank everyone who filled out reviews for my album and everyone who listen to my music."

Lastly, he added, "Reading it over, it looks like I'm saying, 'Please buy my album.' But that's not my intention at all. I just mean to say that if there is a singer or songs that you like, you would love the album as well."

Jonghyun released his first solo album BASE on January 12.
