Which K-Pop Stars Have Gained Attention Overseas?

International media have been showing attention towards Girls' Generation, Big Bang, HyunA and others in hopes of another world star.

Recently, U.S. Billboard had stated, "Big Bang produces and writes their own music." Spin also wrote an article with the title, 'K-Pop Heals New Jersey'.

In the article it stated, "The Big Bang concert in New Jersey healed those that were affected by the hurricane. Many fans came out to see them and made the concert a huge success. They took over the stage for 2 hours with their individual and group performances."

Along with Big Bang, Girls' Generation also received a lot of attention. The Observer stated, "9 member K-Pop group Girls' Generation will be releasing an album in English. This group has sold thousands of albums in Asia."

The Guardian also praised the group by saying that they "looked almost like goddesses." They also praised them by saying that they had perfect looks, voices and choreography.

They were also seen on CBS "The Late Show with David Letterman" ad well as ABC "LIVE! with Kelly."

4minute member HyunA also received much attention after being featured in Psy's "Gangnam Style" music video. After the release of her 2nd solo album song, "Ice Cream," MTV, The Guardian and other international media showed great interest.

The Guardian stated, "If there is someone to take over Psy's spot, it would be 4minute HyunA." U.S. Billboard also stated, "HyunA's song, 'Ice Cream' is a must see music video."

Even comedian No Hong Chul, who is referred to the 'elevator guy' due to his role in Psy's "Gangnam Style," is even gaining attention overseas.
