2 Questions about Wonder Girls Sun's Marriage

Wonder Girls leader Sun will be getting married to her boyfriend who is currently doing overseas missionary activities.

JYP Entertainment announced today, "Sun will be getting married on January 26. Wonder Girls debuted in 2007 and she has been the team leader for the past 7 years. Our company has decided to respect her decision. Sun plans to focus on her wedding and her new family. The other members will work on acting and solo activities."

The wedding location has not been set yet. There are 2 questions that fans have been asking about.

Why is she getting married so fast?

She is one of the first idol girl group members to get married so fast.

Many fans also believed that she was getting married because she was pregnant, however JYP has stated that this rumor is false.

An official commented, "Her and her boyfriend are both Christians and Sun recently lost her father this past year and lives with her grandmother. She probably felt like she had to become the dominant figure in her family."

Her soon to be husband graduated from a Theological University and is fluent in English and French. Sun and he first met while doing missionary activities in Haiti.

Sun had previously revealed her boyfriend in November on SBS "Strong Heart."

She had also posted a picture of her and her boyfriend on twitter as well.

What will happen to the Wonder Girls now?

Many are curious if the Wonder Girls will continue to perform together.

JYP stated, "We are not sure if she will stay with the group or withdraw from it. The other members will continue to perform together as the Wonder Girls."

Due to her fiancé's work, Sun might have to leave Korea and live overseas. If this happens, she will most likely leave the group.

Wonder Girls leader Sun first announced her wedding on their fan cafe page with the message, "January 26, 2013 is going to be a very important day."
