The Kylie Jenner Challenge: Kylie Reacts To Trend As Fans Get Bruised Lips And Prolonged Results!

Kylie Jenner has reacted to the ongoing trend amongst fans and teens involving sucking on a shot glass and getting what fans say, "abnormally" plumped lips.

Dubbed as the #KylieJennerChallenge, the said method begins with finding a glass or a plastic cup that has a rim wide enough to put one's lips in. After which one has to suck all the air in creating a vacuum in the cup. This vacuum causes the blood vessels on the lips to burst and causes swelling in the area.

In response to this trend, Kylie has taken to her social media account to address the issue and write what she has to say about it. "I'm not here to try & encourage people/young girls to look like me or to think this is the way they should look," she tweeted, according to Daily Mail. "I want to encourage people/young girls like me to be YOURSELF & not be afraid to experiment w your look."

As reported by other publications such as the site sourced above, young teens have been creating the trend and making it viral via their social media accounts. Numerous posts on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram all have the hashtag, #KylieJennerChallenge.

While it is nothing but fun and games to some, others found the trend to be a little more dangerous than expected, as numerous fans have gotten undesirable results. This includes bruising around their lips, and worse, bleeding. Some also experience prolonged swelling that was not intended to happen.

The users who have exerienced adverse results have vowed not to do the said challenge again and are advising everyone to do the same.

It can be recalled that Kylie Jenner was previously rumored to have had lip injections following her recent photos having plumper lips than usual. The "Keeping up with the Kardashians" star has denied these allegations and instead posted a video of how she makes her lips look bigger by using makeup.
