Sawyer Sweeten 2015 News: Child Actor Dies At 19 Committing Suicide; Sister Releases Statement

Sawyer Sweeten has been announced to have died last Thursday in Texas. He was 19.

The child actor played one of Ray Romano's twin sons on the hit comedy "Everybody Loves Raymond" by CBS.

According to The New York Times, the teen's sister Madylin Sweeten confirmed that he had committed suicide as to what caused the actor to do such action, we have yet to find out. The statement provided by his sister did not include the cause or any speculations as to why he could have resorted to ending his life on his own. The source also added that Sawyer died by shooting himself while he was at their family's front porch.

Madylin also requested that the media be sensitive during this hard time. In a statement, Ms. Sweeten, who is four years older than her twin brothers, said the family was requesting privacy. She also gave an advice to the public, addressing gaps in the family.

"We beg of you to reach out to the ones that you love," she said. "Let them have no doubt of what they mean to you."

Being older than Sawyer for four years, Madylin took it upon herself to release the statement about her late brother.

As known to the public, Sawyer, along with his real-life twin brother Sullivan and sister Madylin, played the role of the children in the Barone family. Having ended in the year 2005, the series ran for nine seasons, and had Sawyer as a toddler when it kicked off.

Aside from "Everybody Loves Raymond," Sawyer Sweeten also appeared in other TV series such as "Even Stevens," where Shia Labeouf first appeared in. The late actor also appeared in some films, including the 2002-released film starring Randy Quaid. The film was titled, "Frank McKlusky, C.I."
