'Arrow' Season 3 Spoilers: Ray Not Filling In For Oliver In Team Arrow; Episode 22 Highlights Felicity's Feelings Over Mr. Queen's Engagement

Ray Palmer won't come in to replace Oliver Queen, according to the latest "Arrow" season 3 spoilers as episode 22 will focus on how Felicity feels on her lover's engagement.

Showrunner Marc Guggenheim teased "Arrow" season 3 spoilers to TVLine as he said that going into the storyline for Oliver Queen's joining the League of Assassin is very tricky.

He explained, "The tricky thing about [the next episode] is making it different from... when Oliver was missing and presumed dead. One of the things we talked about is, How is Team Arrow functioning post-Oliver?"

"We didn't want to get into 'crime on the rise,' because I felt like we did that with Brick, but you'll see with [the next two episodes] what Team Arrow is up to and how they're working to continue to protect the city."

But the showrunner immediately dashed the rumors that Ray will come in to fill the void with Oliver Queen going AWOL.

"Every time Ray interacts with or allies himself with Team Arrow, there's a story reason behind it, as opposed to just the assumption that, 'OK, he's part of the team now.' [This week] is a very Team Arrow-centric episode, and Ray, for all of his charms and for all of the help he can provide, is not a member of Team Arrow," he added.

Synopsis for episode 22 teased "Arrow" season 3 spoilers as it reads, "Oliver/Al Sah-him (Stephen Amell) finishes his training and is left with two final tasks to become the next Ra's al Ghul. Ra's (guest star Matt Nable) threatens Nyssa (guest star Katrina Law) and delivers some shocking news. Meanwhile, Malcolm (John Barrowman) makes a surprising offer to Team Arrow and Thea (Willa Holland) goes to see Roy (Colton Haynes)."

Bustle theorized that Oliver Queen might get married to Nyssa even if he has to hurt Felicity in the process.

The article claimed that the marriage would allow Oliver Queen to get out of the League of Assassins by turning over the reins of the group to his new wife.
