Tiger Woods' Girlfriend Lindsey Vonn Announces Their Split Just Weeks After Supporting Golfer In Masters Tournament

Tiger Woods and girlfriend Lindsey Vonn were a picture of a happy couple during the Masters. A few days after, they announced their split.

In his website, Tiger Woods released a statement regarding the split from Lindsey Vonn.

"Lindsey and I have mutually decided to stop dating," he started. "I have great admiration, respect and love for Lindsey and I'll always cherish our time together. She has been amazing with Sam and Charlie and my entire family.

"Unfortunately, we lead very hectic lives and are both competing in demanding sports. It's difficult to spend time together," the statement added.

Lindsey Vonn also confirmed the split from Tiger Woods in her Facebook account as she wrote, "After nearly three years together, Tiger and I have mutually decided to end our relationship."

"I will always cherish the memories that we've created together. Unfortunately, we both lead incredibly hectic lives that force us to spend a majority of our time apart. I will always admire and respect Tiger. He and his beautiful family will always hold a special place in my heart," she added.

However, her announcement rubbed Facebook commenters the wrong way as a good number expressed no sympathy for Lindsey Vonn for the split from Tiger Woods.

One fan wrote, "The question is, who cheated on who since both have that history?"

Another admonished the champion skiier, "you knew what you were getting yourself into the relationship(.) (Stop) being a spoiled brat(.) Tiger made mistakes but this might be the best thing ever."

Another commented, "This 'relationship' lasted 3 years longer than expected or was healthy. It was obviously difficult to think of double the explanations for the plethora of ridiculous situations these two find themselves in. And yes, like most others commenting on this thread, I wonder 'Who cares?' - no need to make an announcement as most people assume cheating & the breakup came long ago."
