Boardwalk Empire Signs Ron Livingston As Season 4 Regular; Livingston To Play Wealthy Businessman On HBO Series

The HBO series Boardwalk Empire announced that it is adding Ron Livingston as a regular to season four's star-studded cast.

Boardwalk Empire has starred great actors like Steve Buscemi and Kelly MacDonald portraying memorable characters.

Boardwalk Empire takes place in New Jersey's Atlantic City during the prohibition era. It was recently renewed for its fourth season.

Ron Livingston is the latest new cast announcement. EW.com reported that Livingston will be playing a wealthy, out-of-town businessman who goes to Atlantic City to sightsee and enjoy some illegal drinks.

While he's in the Boardwalk Empire town, he will notice the town's brothel owner Gillian Darmody, played by Gretchen Mol. Digital Spy reports that the character's name will be Roy Phillips, but other details about the character and future plotlines remain unclear.

Ron Livingston has an impressive movie ant Television resume. He has appeared on another famous HBO series before Boardwalk Empire; Livingston had a recurring role on Sex and the City as one of Carrie Bradshaw's love interest.

Livingston also appeared on Game Change, a political drama, and Band of Brothers, the WWII mini-series. Livingston's first major role was in Swingers alongside Vince Vaughn and Jon Favreau.

Livingston is best known, however, as the star of Office Space.

Boardwalk Empire is currently producing its fourth season, and will air new episodes next fall.
