Jennifer Lawrence: Ex-Boyfriend Is Happy About Her Oscar Win

Even though they split at the start of the award season, ex-boyfriend of Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult is very happy she won the Best Actress Oscar.

The 23-year-old Warm Bodies actor told E! News in an interview this week that he is "very, very happy for her." He then exclaimed, "I'm thrilled!"

He went on to add he enjoyed her wildly successful film, Silver Lining's Playbook saying it "was great."

Jennifer Lawrence, 22, and Hoult initially met on the set of X-Men: First Class in 2010 and the couple was honest and open about their relationship.

In an interview with Elle in December Lawrence said, "[My boyfriend] is honestly my best friend, and hopefully I'm his best friend too. He's my favorite person to be around and he makes me laugh harder than anybody."

The two parted ways after Lawrence won big at the People's Choice Awards in January, but remain on friendly terms.

Their X-Men personas are expected to reunite during the filming of X-Men: Days of Future Past, the next installment in the blockbuster franchise. And while Lawrence and he are no longer romantically involved, Hoult says he is interested to see how the characters interact on set. "We'll wait and see how that relationship develops," he said of the onscreen romance. "They're going to split between different times a little bit, with the older cast coming back, so we'll have to wait and see."

Jennifer Lawrence won the coveted Academy Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role at last Sunday's Oscars. She has also recently signed a modeling contract with Dior and has several other film projects coming up.
