Lea Michele's Thank You To 'Glee' Creator For Hooking Her Up With Boyfriend Cory Monteith In Real Life: 'He Is My Match Maker'

When Lea Michele and Cory Monteith had their first scene together on "Glee," show creator Ryan Murphy noticed something happening between the two actors.

"I directed them in their first scene together and they had that sort of chemistry that you can't fake, and I said, 'Uh-oh,'" Murphy told E!Online. "So I did kind of know. I take credit."

"Yes, I would definitely say he is my matchmaker for sure," Lea Michele said about her boss at last night's PaleyFest Icon Awards in Beverly Hills.

Lea has been dating Cory for a year.

Michele hooked up with Monteith after breaking up with longtime love interest Theo Stockman, causing life to imitate art. That is, if you consider "Glee" to be art. We sure do!

Maybe it was out of gratitude, or the champagne talking, but Michele gushed about Murphy on Twitter after the awards show.

"A beautiful night honoring the amazing Mr. [Ryan Murphy]," Lea wrote "So happy for him. What a joy to be in such an amazing room with such incredible people."
