Michael Jordan Is Hit With Paternity Suit in Georgia [VIDEO]

Michael Jordan the Charlotte Bobcats owner and former Chicago Bull, is being taken to court over a paternity test by Pamela Smith.

The 48-year-old woman from Atlanta Georgia claims that Michael Jordan is the father of her 16-year-old son. In the lawsuit filed on February 6, Smith asks that Jordan take the paternity test, pay child support and medical expenses not covered by insurance.

Smith also wants the court to allow her son to change his last name to Jordan and have a new birth certificate issued. Smith also requested that the court hearings be closed in order to protect her son's identity.

This would prove to be a useless request; 16-year-old Taj Reynolds posted a video on YouTube back in December identifying himself as Jordan's son.

"I have some exclusive, exclusive information and I feel like everybody should know. If you've been hearing any rumors about I'm Michael Jordan's son...its true. The reason I'm making this video is I feel like y'all should know and I feel like he should be more in my life."

USA Today reports that Michael Jordon is not making any statements at this time. Pamela Smith's publicist says "Pamela had no choice but to support her son and his desire to forge a relationship with his father. That's why she is now speaking out and prompting Michael to do the right thing."

TMZ has more details regarding Smith's relationship with Jordan, they say that the pair had an affair while Jordan was married in 1995. Smith gave birth to her son in 1996.

According to reports Pamela Smith does not have an attorney but a hearing is scheduled for March 12.
