Charlie Sheen on Lindsay Lohan 'Clearly Needs a Mentor' Referring to Himself

Charlie Sheen talks about Lindsay Lohan as he seems to think he can save her from herself.

Sheen mentions his close relationship to the actress is for him to just help her based on his past mistakes as Lohan's trouble range from legal problems, jail time and substance abuse over the last few years.

"I have a kinship with somebody [Lindsay] who clearly needs a mentor, whether she wants one or not," Sheen, 47, recently told TMZ. "She can continue to hang out with her dress shredding club buddies, or turn to me for some advice from a guy who's been down the road as well as every other side trail on the journey."

"If she listens, she'll win," he adds, "If she doesn't, that's on her."

Some might be caught off guard as Sheen offers his help as he might seem the last person that could offer Lindsay a way out of her distraught life. However due to his past mistakes he knows the downside to partying and living life by breaking the rules.

Sheen while working together with Lindsay on "Scary Movie 5" has helped the 26-year-old by lending her $100,000 to pay off her text debt with IRS and even gave her work by allowing to guest star on his FX series "Anger Management."

The "Liz & Dick" star is facing criminal charges for allegedly lying about a car crash where she claimed she was not driving the vehicle. Judge James Dabney denied a motion asking to delay the case by Lohan's attorney, Mark Heller and set the trial date for March 18.
