Pregnant Kate Middleton Stays Off The Slopes In Swiss Alps, Takes A Walk While Royal Brothers Ski To Protect Baby

The pregnant future Queen of England, Kate Middleton, was with her husband Prince William and his brother Prince Harry last weekend for a friend's wedding in the Swiss Alps.

The pregnant Kate stayed off the slopes while William and Harry were skiing. While the royal brothers were enjoying themselves, Kate took a walk around the resort.

"She was walking down the hill with three men. She was very sweet and smiled at people who looked at her. She seemed to be taking in the scenery," a German tourist told the Daily Mail.

Kate Middleton is 5 months pregnant and expecting her and William's first child in July. The couple is keeping quiet on the baby's sex and any possible names.

What is known is that the royal baby, whether a boy or a girl, will succeed William after he is king. In the past girls only inherited the throne if the preceding monarch had no male children.

For example, Queen Elizabeth's father King George VI had two daughters and no sons. When he died, the throne passed to his eldest daughter Elizabeth.

However, Commonwealth leaders approved a change to the succession laws. If William and Kate's first child is a girl, she will be the heir to the throne and future Queen, even if the couple has boys in the future.
