Mary-Kate Olsen Ring Ignites Engagement Rumors

Mary-Kate Olsen was spotted with beau Oliver Sarkozy at Sunday night's New York Knicks game wearing a special accessory: a gold ring on her left hand.

Fans are now wondering if the young star is engaged to the 43-year-old investment banker.

Less than a year ago the two announced they were a couple after being seen repeatedly watching basketball games and canoodling at Madison Square Garden.

The most recent photos show Mary-Kate with a thick gold band on her ring finger. The accessory is plain and does not contain any stones. Some fans have speculated a rock will be added when the couple gets married.

Mary-Kate Olsen's representative stated the 26-year-old actress-designer and Sarkozy are not currently engaged. That has not stopped the rush of rumors flooding the internet.

After all, photographers spotted the couple shopping for jewelry while in Paris last January. Later, Olsen was seen with a ring on her left-hand ring finger.

Mary-Kate and Oliver have been dating since May 2012 and many fans have expressed dismay over the big age difference between the two. Olsen has previously stated that age of her much older boyfriend is not an issue and hardly notices.

There has been no confirmation that the ring seen Sunday night was actually from Sarkozy.

However, the court-side PDA suggests the two are very much in love and their relationship is still going strong.

Mary-Kate Olsen is an actress, fashion designer, producer, author, and business woman. She co-founded the fashion brands The Row and Olsenboye with her twin sister, Ashley. She pursued her acting career until 2012 and has since quit to focus on her fashion career.

Oliver Sarkozy is a French-American banker and the half-brother of former French President, Nicolas Sarkozy. He was previously married and has two children. He divorced his ex-wife, Charlotte Bernard, in 2011.
