Samsung Galaxy S4 Eye-Tracking SoftWare Rumored To Be On The Way: Will The New Feature Change Cell Phones Forever?

The Samsung Galaxy S4 is rumored to have a feature that tracks the movement of people's eyes

According to reports, users can use thier eyeballs as a mouse to scroll through the web.

The New York Times, citing a person who has used the phone, says it uses technology to monitor users' eyes and translates that motion into action.

"When users read articles and their eyes reach the bottom of the page, the software will automatically scroll down to reveal the next paragraphs of text," according to the article.

Samsung filed for a trademark in the United States on both "Samsung Eye Scroll" and "Eye Pause." The Galaxy S3 already uses face-recognition technology to keep the phone's screen illuminated when a person is looking at it.

According to cnet.com, among some of the other new features possibly coming to the Samsung Galaxy S4 include an eight-core Exynos processor, a separate eight-core graphics processing unit, a 4.99-inch Super Amoled display, 2GB of RAM, a 13-megapixel rear camera with 1080p video capability, a 2-megapixel front-facing camera, and the latest version of Android, known as 4.2.2 Jelly Bean.

Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy 4S at a New York City event on March 14.

This past Saturday, the Samsung Galaxy S3 won big at the Mobile World Congress (MWC), beating out Apple's iPhone 5 for the best smartphone. The Galaxy S3 also won the same award at the USwitch Tech 2012.
