Casey Anthony Speaks at Bankruptcy Hearing 'I'm Living Free or Off The Kindness' of Others [VIDEO]

Casey Anthony appeared Monday at the bankruptcy hearing that she is unemployed and lives off "unsolicited donations."

Anthony 26 was dressed in a white blouse and black miniskirt in her first public appearance since she left jail in July 2011, discussed about her financial troubles. She testified that she has not accepted any book, TV, or movie deals and said she does not own a house or a car.

"I don't pay rent, I don't pay utilities. I guess you could say I'm living free off the kindness" of others, she said.

In the 50-minute long hearing she spoke calmly in court while consulting frequently with her attorneys.

Anthony filed for bankruptcy in January, claiming about $1,000 in assets and $800,000 in debt.

She stated she lives with friends. When asked if she bought her own food, Anthony replied, "I try to contribute when I can."

Anthony arrived in a black SUV as several photographers and reporters swarmed her. There were about 10 US Homeland Security officers on the steps when she left the courthouse.

Scott Shuker, an attorney of Anthony's creditors said, "From my smell test, it doesn't smell right. She certainly has a lot of kindness from strangers. Any time you see an attorney in what's supposed to be a no asset case being that active, more to the point, you had five attorneys there, allegedly none of them being paid, that's odd."
