Skylar Diggins Plays Her Final Game On The Notre Dame Home Court: 'Time Has Flown By' The Women's College Basketball Star Says [VIDEO]

Skylar Diggins played her home final basketball game for Notre Dame on the South Bend, Ind. home court where she rose to national stardom on Monday night.

As she and her team head to the NCAA championships, Diggins, who is expected to be a high pick in the WNBA draft in April, told local TV affiliate NewsCenter 16 that she can't believe her college days are coming to an end.

"Time has flown by," Skylar said. "I can remember my first game at Notre Dame against Arkansas Pine Bluff in an exhibition game. That felt like yesterday."

On February 17, Diggins became the first women's basketball player in Notre Dame history to score 2,000 points, make 500 rebounds and hurl 500 assists during her college career, according to ESPN.

"I didn't even know about it until they told me," Diggins told the sports network. "It is something I that is pretty cool. I can think about when I'm old and gray... All that matters is that we are winning."

Diggins credits her coach Women's Basketball Hall of Fame honoree Muffet McGraw, with her success on the team.

"She developed me into a point guard," Skylar said last fall. "I was a two guard, and I think a lot of trust comes from there, trusting in her to be able to have the faith in me to move to the point guard from the two guard."

"I think my relationship with her became closer as I had to make that transition into what she wanted, knowing what kind of plays, time, score, possession, things like that and getting to know players through her, watching a lot of film," she added. " I think our relationship is very close because it has to be. And we just have similar personalities, also, I think."
