Actor On School Board In New Mexico: Steven Michael Quezada Of AMC’s 'Breaking Bad' Elected To Albuquerque’s District 5 Board

An actor is now on a school board in New Mexico, the Associated Press reported.

Actor Steven Michael Quezada from the TV show 'Breaking Bad' is scheduled to be sworn in on Albuquerque New Mexico's school board this week.

The actor plans to take his oath on Wednesday during the school board's regular meeting. After running unopposed, actor Quezada won a seat on Albuquerque's District 5 west-side board.

Quezada currently hosts The After After Party in Albuquerque and has starred in several movies and television shows, including First Snow, Beerfest and Kites.

Steven Michael Quezada now plays federal DEA agent Steven Gomez, partner of main character Hank Schrader, on the hit television show 'Breaking Bad'. The drama is incidentally based in Albuquerque.

'Breaking Bad' follows former high school teacher Walter White while he produces and sells methamphetamines with a former student. The teacher is played by Bryan Cranston and the student is played by Aaron Paul.

The AMC drama is concluding the filming for its fifth and final season.
