Edward Furlong Sentenced to Six Months For Violating Probation of Restraining Order

Edward Furlong was sentenced to six months in jail on Monday in LA Superior Court for probation violation in a 2010 case.

Furlong was placed on three years' probation in 2010, after violating a civil protective order that was obtained by his ex-wife, Rachael Kneeland.

Actor well known for his role as the teenage John Connor in "Terminator 2," was arrested twice in four months for a domestic violence case against his ex-girlfriend. His ex-wife and ex-girlfriend both requested a restraining order against the actor.

Furlong was sentenced for violating his probation by using force against his ex-girlfriend Monica Keena, and violating the restraining order that stated he was not permitted to have any contact with her.

Keena filed an order that went into effect after Furlong was accused attacked her at a Los Angeles airport last October. And then he was charged of violating the order when he allegedly attacked her again in January. The battery charges from the arrest in January are still pending.

Furlong spent most of February in prison however it's not clear whether it will count towards his time served.

Although Furlong was filming a new movie "Other Plans" at the time of time arrest. He was later fired since he was arrested for the second time in four months.

Superior Court Judge Dennis Mucahy directed officials that he may not be released early or give him credit for time served, however jail records showed Tuesday that he may be released in late May.
