FTISLAND Releases Teaser For New Japanese Single "You Are My Life"

Warner Music Japan and FTISLAND released the preview video today for the title song for their latest Japanese EP.  This release will be FTISLAND tenth mini-album in Japan, and features the rock-ballad as its title song.

The music video features the group in a dark church setting, giving the video a somber and emotional mood.  In the video, leader Choi Jonghun is seen on piano, which is a step away from his usual guitar.  Jonghun is known to have first been an avid pianist/keyboard before he joined FNC Entertainment and trained heavily on guitar.  The title song also teased on a Lee Hongki and Lee Jaejin duo vocal tracks, another rare occasion wherein the lead vocalist lets the band’s other subvocalists take on some of the vocal heavyweight.   Watch the music video here:

While song composition attributions for the mini album hadn’t yet been revealed, another new spin on FTISLAND’s newest offering is the involvement of Steven Lee, who is a multi-awarded and multi-platinum Korean-American music producer.  In a tweet, he revealed that he has played a part in FTISLAND’s upcoming album and his composed song will be “Come Into My Dream”.  Steven Lee is well respected in the Japanese music space having won awards for his work with KAT-TUN.  He isn’t entirely new to K-pop though, as he also produced “Sorry Sorry” which shot Super Junior to superstardom.  The involvement of Steven Lee will be another new concept for FTISLAND, who is known for composing their own songs.  The influence of a renown music producer on FTISLAND music can be just what the band needs to grasp more solidly at their idol status.

The album is set to be released on March 27th, and will be released in 3 versions.  Fans who buy the 3 versions can enter a lucky draw wherein FTISLAND will sing at a wedding at the fans’ request.  It has been nearly four months since FTISLAND’s last release in Japan.  Will this mini album top the charts again?
