Kim Taeyeon Launches 25th Birthday Twitter Coup: Hundreds Of Fans Tweet The Girls' Generation Singer At The Leader's Request [VIDEO]

Kim Taeyeon got hundreds of 25th birthday messages on Friday on Twitter, which is exactly what she demanded.

The K-pop star has started a campaign on the social media site to make March 8 Taeyon Day, and send the #Happy25thTaeyeonDay hashtag to the top of Twitter's trending list.

"#Happy25thTaeyeonDay Tag is missing from the Top 10 Trending," Taeyeon tweeted Friday, demanding her fans to continue the onslaught of happy birthday Twitter messages.

The hundreds of Kim Taeyeon fan messages the Girls' Generation singer retweeted even surpassed Twitter's maximum, she claimed.

"We've gotten news that within an hour, only 100 tweets is allowed. We'll stop the spam, but keep the comments coming !!! =))" Kim wrote.

Many fans spoke about how Taeyeon's role as the leader Girls' Generation and a role model to many girls.

"Happy Birthday Taeyeon!! My number 1," wrote Edwin Tan "A kid leader with an angelic and powerful voice!! I LOVE YOU!!♥♥♥♥♥"

"Our kid leader!! Keep dorky :))" tweeted Rizky Setyoningrum.

Twitter user @STFannyie_09 echoed Setyoningrum's request to stay nerdy.

"Happy Birthday Taeng. Thank's make me happy & I hope you still the best, and still cute and dorky."

Felix Halim had his own Kim Taeyeon birthday request.

"Happy birthday Taengoo," Halim wrote. "I hope one day i can meet u :)"

Grace Fletcher wants Taeyeon to know she's not just a fan, but also a shoulder to cry on.

"Happy birthday my dear kid leader," Fletcher wrote. "I always wish you your [good] health. Care for yourself...Don't cry alone anymore ok!?"
