'8-Year-Old Star' Hwang Min Woo Issue... "Abuse" VS "Respect"

The 8-year-old star Hwang Min Woo with the nickname of 'Little Psy' has announced that he will be releasing an album and will be working as a singer, but many have been pointing fingers, asking if it's not "abuse" for a little kid.

On the 6th, Hwang Min Woo announced during his showcase that he will be taking his first step as a singer with his first solo album song 'Show time.' He revealed all the talents that he's been showing in various entertainment programs until now, but the reactions after his announcement were split into two opposites.

Hwang Min Woo is only 8, and the interests of the public may become scars to a little child like him. Many also have been accusing his agency, being suspicious of the agency using him for money.

After the showcase, many internet users posted online, "If you enter the society at such a young age, all you have left in the end are scars," "I'm afraid that the album title and concept that does not fit the 8-year-old will influnece him in a bad way," and "The agency is using him."

But the CEO of Starzone Entertainment, Hwang Min Woo's agency, said, "Min Woo is young in age but when it comes to music he is not any younger than other 13-year-olds. He is able to do all of these. But more than anything, he himself wants to go on stage and we will schedule things so that this will not get in the way with his education. He will also have a tutor that will be teaching him during breaks of his practice hours, and we are already teaching him English and Japanese for his overseas activities that will come in the future."

They lastly added, "We will not make him do anything that he doesn't want to do, and will not give him schedules to attend to if he's tired or overwhelmed."
