Rihanna Cancels Concert in Boston Due to Laryngitis, 'I Am Hurt That I Let You Down'

Rihanna canceled her concert in Boston tonight according to local reports after contracting an unfortunate bout of laryngitis.

The "Diamonds World Tour" scheduled at Boston's TD Garden had to be postponed following doctor's orders after being diagnosed of the inflammatory condition.

Live Nation issued a statement regarding the situation this morning, "Unfortunately, following her sold out concert on Friday, Rihanna has contracted laryngitis and per doctor's instruction is unable to perform this evening."

The 25-year-old singer shared the news on Twitter, "#BOSTON this is the hardest thing for me to deal with! I feel like we've been waiting on this day forever, and I'm hurt that I let you down."

Followed by, "I hate disappointing people that never ever let me down!! I'm so embarrassed about this! Thank you for your prayers and well wishes! #DWT."

Fans are told to hold onto their tickets until the show announces the date when the show is rescheduled.

There were reports of Rihanna ready to take a break from the music business as Ryan Seacrest shard on his morning radio this week, "She's been in this go mode for a while. Seven hit records in seven years. Sold-out tours, but sources say after this tour wraps, she plans to take up to a year off to unwind."
