Reeva Steenkamp Met With Ex-Boyfriend Warren Lahoud 48 Hours Before She Was Allegedly Killed By South African Olympic Star Oscar Pistorius, According To Reports

Reeva Steenkamp met her ex two days before she was eventually shot to death by her boyfriend, Olympic star and South African celebrity, Oscar Pistorius.

The recent discovery that Steenkamp met her ex will be a huge blow to the defense for Oscar Pistorius, who claimed that he mistook his girlfriend for an intruder during the early morning hours of February 14 when he shot her four times through the bathroom door.

Steenkamp met her ex, Warren Lahoud, whom she dated for five years, two days before her death. It was also reported that during that time, Oscar Pistorius interrupted the meeting twice.

The BBC documentary “Oscar Pistorious…What Really Happened?” shows Lahoud saying that Steenkamp met him for a malice-free coffee date. He also said he never had any issues with Pistorius, but found it odd that he kept interrupting the meeting throughout its duration.

He remembered asking Steenkamp if everything is okay after Pistorius phoned twice, every twenty minutes. Steenkamp responded “there’s nothing wrong.”

Pistorius is facing charges of premeditated murder for the shooting of Steenkamp. Prosecutors continue to press that the killing was intentional and have broached the couple’s history of domestic incidents. The famous Olympian is widely known as an avid gun owner, just like his girlfriend.

After Steenkamp’s death, her outraged family is in utter disbelief that she had been murdered. In her very first interview since the incident, June Steenkamp, Reeva’s mother, asked, “Why? Why my little girl? Why did this happen? Why did he do this? What for?” June Steenkamp told the Times of Johannesburg that her family is left searching for logic in a time of grief and shock.

“All we have is this horrendous death to deal with…to get grips with,” she said. She continues that all her family wants is answers to why this has happened to their daughter.

Since the revelation that Steenkamp met her ex came out, Pistorius and his family are refuting claims and rumors that he has been feeling suicidal after the charges. Though friends close to the Olympic sprinter says that he is deeply upset and agitated with the events to the point of suicide, Pistorius’s uncle says that the athlete is preoccupied in strengthening his defense to prove his innocence.

Oscar Pistorius, a paralympic, gained world renown amid a raging debate that on whether his prosthetic legs would give him an unfair advantage in the 2012 Summer Olympics. He was the first double amputee to compete against able-bodied runners. His moniker, “Blade Runner” is a reference to his carbon prosthetic legs.
