Deion Sanders Wins Court Battle For Custody Of Sons, Shares Custody Of Daughter With Ex-Wife: Former NFL Star's Bitter Divorce Plays Out in A Texas Courtroom

Deion Sanders, Pro Football Hall of Famer, was awarded full custody of his sons Tuesday night, in a divorce battle with his estranged wife, model and fitness expert Pilar Sanders.

Sanders will have joint custody of his daughter and the power to determine where she will live, as decreed by a Collin County jury.

Deion, who is currently an NFL Network analyst, fought hard for full custody of their children, after sharing time with them with his ex-wife on alternate weeks.

The trial included allegations that the former Dallas Cowboys player kept guns accessible in his home.

Sanders' attorneys responded by suggesting that Pilar worked for a phone sex line and abused the children. Both sides claimed the other was using steroids, CBS reported.

Pilar Sanders's attorney told CBS news yesterday that the decision was a foregone conclusion.

"You sue someone with a blue star on their helmet it's like suing the pope in Vatican City," said attorney Larry Friedman.

Pilar and Deion Sanders lived together in their $21 million Texas mansion while their divorce battle was heating up until a dispute last April led to an exchange of assault allegations.

On April 24, the ex-NFL cornerback reportedly tweeted: "Pray for me and my kids now. They just witnessed their mother and her friend jump me in my room."

Moments later, Sanders posted a picture of himself and sons filling out police documentation. The photo was reportedly later taken down.

"I grabbed her, turned her around, pinned down her arms and carried her out," Sanders said in court the following month.

Pilar Sanders's attorney claims the former Dallas Cowboy slammed his ex-wife against a wall, choked, and hit her.

Dee Boswell, her friend, alleges Sanders caused Pilar to bleed in the altercation.

A judge ruled neither was guilty of domestic violence.
